Now hiring: we are hiring a head butcher in Coahoma County, Mississippi. You will be based at a wholesale meat market. Requirements: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate You will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; season and marinate meat on request; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
