Now hiring: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Platte County, Wyoming. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. What we are looking for: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron The role involves: • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
