We are recruiting: commis chef (Pennsylvania)

Now hiring: we are hiring a commis chef in Montour County, Pennsylvania. You will be based in a hotel kitchen. You should have: • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking On the job you will handle: • Label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in • Monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes • Prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch • Prepare the mise en place before each service Full-time with occasional weekends.
