Now hiring: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Emanuel County, Georgia. The job is at a busy production line. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Your main tasks: • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence Full-time with occasional weekends.
