Dogger wanted in Shetland Islands

Vacancy available: we are hiring a dogger in Shetland Islands, Scotland. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket The role involves: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings £3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
