Body shop technician — Decatur County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a body shop technician in Decatur County, Iowa. You will be based at a busy body shop. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes • Physically fit for lifting panels, bending and kneeling • Good eye for panel gaps and body lines On the job you will handle: • Pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder • Buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections • Read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates • Treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains • Mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
