Stitching operator — Kodiak Island Borough

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a stitching operator in Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. Day-to-day duties: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown 5+ years on the tools preferred.
