Reinforcement steel fixer — Hardy County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Hardy County, West Virginia. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
