We are recruiting: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. You should have: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching On the job you will handle: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
