Gas pipe fitter wanted in Los Alamos County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Los Alamos County, New Mexico. You will work at a boiler and appliance service centre. Day to day you will fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances; read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant. What we are looking for: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $160 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
