Immediate opening: ladle pourer (Iowa)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Hancock County, Iowa. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Day to day you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. Part-time with flexible hours. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
