Pipe tig welder — Schenectady County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Schenectady County, New York. You will be based on an industrial construction site. You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Own basic hand tools and PPE The role involves grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp.
