Urgent requirement: we are hiring a laundry presser in Gwadabawa, Sokoto State. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Day-to-day duties: • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press Pay around ₦135,000 per month, based on your experience.
