Urgent requirement: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a renovation and extension job. The role involves: • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation You should have: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
