Fire and safety officer wanted in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area

Now hiring: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska. You will work at an oil and gas facility. Day-to-day duties: • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift You should have: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Six days a week, one day off.
