Finishing presser wanted in Shasta County

Join our team: we are hiring a finishing presser in Shasta County, California. You will work in a tailoring workshop. Day to day you will sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents. Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep 6+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $18 per hour, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
