Gas commissioning technician — Allegany County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas commissioning technician in Allegany County, New York. The job is at a heating and plumbing contractor. Requirements: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Driving licence for travel between sites • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations The role involves locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints.
