Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Your main tasks: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
