Ironing operator • Kano Municipal, Kano State

Vacancy available: we are hiring an ironing operator in Kano Municipal, Kano State. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory On the job you will handle: • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
