Pipe tig welder wanted in Payne County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Payne County, Oklahoma. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Day to day you will select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Own basic hand tools and PPE Six days a week, one day off.
