Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Windham County, Vermont. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Your main tasks: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
