Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings On a typical shift you will weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints.
