MIG/MAG welder • Adams County, Illinois

Immediate opening: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Adams County, Illinois. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium You will grind back and re-weld any defective runs; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Part-time with flexible hours. Contact us to fix an interview.
