Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Edu, Kwara State. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. On the job you will handle: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
