Now hiring: we are hiring a container truck driver in Franklin County, Kentucky. On a typical shift you will couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels; secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars; reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays. What we are looking for: • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements Rotating shifts.
