Immediate opening: steel fixing chargehand (Indiana)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Tipton County, Indiana. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Your main tasks: • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
