Immediate opening: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Adair County, Iowa. You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently The role involves: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
