Great opportunity: occupational health and safety officer (Florida)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Saint Johns County, Florida. You will work in a chemical processing unit. Day-to-day duties: • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points Requirements: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate Full-time with occasional weekends.
