You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection The role involves grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; carry out 6G pipe welds where required.
