Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Fife, Scotland. Day-to-day duties: • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. We offer £3,000 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
