Now hiring: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Southampton County, Virginia. You will work on a structural steel site. Day to day you will weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends.
