Immediate opening: we are hiring a hydraulic crane operator in City of Harrisonburg, Virginia. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Strong attention to safety and load limits Day to day you will fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger.
