Single needle operator — City of Newport News

Great opportunity: we are hiring a single needle operator in City of Newport News, Virginia. On a typical shift you will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. What we are looking for: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
