Steel fixer wanted in Hood River County

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Hood River County, Oregon. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. The role involves: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Full-time with occasional weekends.
