Now hiring: brick mason (Abia State)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick mason in Osisioma Ngwa, Abia State. The job is at a renovation and extension job. Your main tasks: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
