Banksman — Franklin County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in Franklin County, Georgia. You will work at a busy construction site. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Your main tasks: • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $5,300 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
