Concrete labourer — City of Suffolk

We are recruiting: we are hiring a concrete labourer in City of Suffolk, Virginia. You will work on a road and bridge project. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet On a typical shift you will give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing.
