Groundsman — Merthyr Tydfil County Borough

Great opportunity: we are hiring a groundsman in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough, Wales. The job is in a public park. Day to day you will prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings. You should have: • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Happy to work outdoors in all weather Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
