Join our team: we are hiring a pastry baker in Cheboygan County, Michigan. You should have: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving Day to day you will keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; load and unload the deck oven with a peel. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
