Sheet metal welder — Hillsborough County

Now hiring: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Hillsborough County, Florida. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces On the job you will handle: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel Full-time with occasional weekends.
