Long-haul driver — East Carroll Parish

Great opportunity: we are hiring a long-haul driver in East Carroll Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a busy distribution depot. Your main tasks: • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing Requirements: • Valid digital tachograph card • Current Driver CPC qualification card Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
