Great opportunity: we are hiring a powder coater in Barnsley, England. The job is on an industrial coating line. Requirements: • Can read film thickness gauges and colour codes • Knowledge of pre-treatment and phosphating process • Able to stand long shifts and lift parts up to 20 kg On the job you will handle: • Sieve and load powder into the spray gun hopper • Check dry film thickness with a DFT gauge in microns • Record batch numbers, oven temperatures and coating thickness • Run colour changeovers and clean the booth between batches • Pre-treat parts through phosphating and rinse tanks • Keep parts properly earthed so the powder transfers well Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
