Immediate opening: we are hiring a presser in Lyon County, Minnesota. You will work in a garment export house. What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Day to day you will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
