Tig welder wanted in Franklin County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Franklin County, North Carolina. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. The role involves: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
