You will check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Six days a week, one day off.
