Immediate opening: stamping press operator (Scotland)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a stamping press operator in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. You should have: • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges Your main tasks: • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
