Great opportunity: we are hiring a hand presser in Polk County, Missouri. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Day to day you will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments.
