Lathe operator — Muskegon County

Join our team: we are hiring a lathe operator in Muskegon County, Michigan. You will be based in a packaging factory. Day-to-day duties: • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine • Top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels • Clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line You should have: • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor • Good attention to detail and steady hands • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
