GTAW welder — Caddo Parish

Great opportunity: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. You will work in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Day-to-day duties: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
