Restoration bricklayer • Pender County, North Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Pender County, North Carolina. Your main tasks: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays You should have: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools 4+ years on the tools preferred.
